Experience Mabira Canopies through zip lining adventures, a must do activity on your visit to Jinja to quench your enthusiasm. This fascinating activity is carried out at Griffin falls in Mabira forest reserve in the district of Buikwe along Kampala- Jinja highway in the East.

Before the commencement of this thrilling activity, simple briefings are given to the junkies about safety then protective climbing gears and high ropes are given to them. It then proceeds with a nature walk through the forest and this takes about 40 minutes with high chances of sighting birds.

Real adventure starts with climbing up a tree in the rain forest and climbing down from another on the 5 zip lines stretching across River Musamya at 250 meters taking you about 4 hours. High up on the tree canopies, a traveler is rewarded with views of different bird species like palm nut vultures, primates like red tailed monkeys.  As you hike back form the zip lines to the camp, the roaring’s made by Griffin falls will make your zip day memorable as you pass by them.

Zip line activities are carried out in the morning from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and in the afternoon from 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm on a daily basis. Appropriate clothing’s are recommended for example long trousers and shirts and they should be buddy enough and necessary medications like inhalers.
