2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tracking Safari
This 2 days’ gorilla tracking safari will take you to Rwanda’s volcanoes national park the home to world’s remaining mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The tour will start with Kigali city tour to the various historical sites like local markets, genocide sites, conventional center, king’s palaces and more other place if time allows. The 2 days’ gorilla safari will start and end in Rwanda.

Day 1: Kigali City Tour & Volcanoes National Park
Our company guide will pick you up from the hotel or Kigali international airport for transfer to volcanoes national park where you will do gorilla trekking experience. Set off for your 2 days’ tour, first do Kigali city tour with visit to Kigali Genocide memorial centre, Kigali Convention centre, and local markets among others. Have lunch from any tourist’s restaurant and you can try out some local foods or can order for international foods. After lunch you will drive for 2 hours’ to Volcanoes national park where you will do the most famous activity, the gorilla tracking experience. Pass by rolling hills and ever green vegetation, you will see local people doing their daily activities. Proceed to the lodge where you will check-in and wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking & Departure
Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. Pick your trekking equipment’s, enough drinking water and packed lunch and set off with your safari guide/driver to park’s headquarters for short briefing by the park warden before taking gorilla trek. At 8:30 am, you drive to the trekking starting point, in your respective groups you will follow a specific trail that will lead you into the jungle in search of gorilla families with help of well-armed game ranger. Finding the mountain gorillas depends on where these endangered mountain gorillas slept the previous night or on their movement when searching for food. The trek can take half an hour to 6 hours. You will then spend only one hour with these endangered mountain gorillas, see them feeding, breast feeding, the silverback guarding the family, playing and you will interact with them. After trek, report back to the park’s headquarters where you will be rewarded with a trekking certificate. Thereafter drive back to the lodge, have refreshments and then check-out of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali international airport where you will catch up with your flight back home.
