Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, meet up with our driver guide who will welcome you and brief you shortly about the trip. Following the briefing, set off the engine to Volcanoes National Park, a home to endangered mountain gorillas in the North West of Rwanda with a visit to the Kigali Genocide site. On arrival, Check in at the booked lodge for dinner and retire for a night.

 Meal plan: Half board.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking. (1st).

After a morning grab, the driver will transfer you to Kinigi for briefing and registration. After being allocated a family, embark on the mountain gorilla search of the first family. You will be allowed to spend 1 hour with the gentle giants once you find them and be able to take pictures as you watch them play and feed. After lunch, you may opt for other activities like visiting the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo if time allows. Dinner and overnight at the lodge when to transfer back.

Meal plan: Full board.

Day 3: 2nd Gorilla trekking and cultural visit.

After breakfast, you will again transfer to the headquarters for the second day of the trek. On this day, you will trek a different gorilla family from that on the 1st day as you study more about their feeding and eating habits. After enroute lunch, you will visit Iby’Iwacu villages where the gorilla guardians live and learn about the traditions and culture of Rwanda. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Kigali city tour and departure.

After having breakfast at a relaxed pace, you will have a city around Kigali to the museum, markets as you depart from the park to the airport for your next flight back home. This marks the end of memorable tour. Thank you choosing Chosen expeditions and tours.
