2 Days Queen Elizabeth Game Drive Safari

Overview

This 2days safari takes you to one of the famous national park in Uganda well known for its tree climbing lions. Queen Elizabeth national park is located south of the Rwenzori Mountain and the park covers an area of about 1,978km2 of land. The park is blessed with two lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward which are connected the the Kazinga Channel.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth Natioanal Park

Our company guide/driver will pick you from your hotel or Entebbe international airport for transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park very early in the morning. You have to be time conscious because the safari is for only two days. Drive through ever green savannah vegetation and journey of about 283 km to Mbarara town where you will have lunch at any local restaurant. Proceed with journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, upon arrival at the park, clear with UWA game rangers and then drive to the lodge, check in. Head for 2pm boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel where you will have an opportunity to view different mammals and bird species like school of hippos, crocodiles, Uganda kobs, elephants to mention the few, then birds like cormorants, fish eagles, pelicans, skimmers, kingfishers, ibis, plovers and Bee-eaters among others. After beautiful boat cruise return to the lodge with mini game drive as wait for tomorrow game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive and Departure

Arise up very early in the morning by 6:00am and head for morning game drive, in search of the early hunters like lions, hyenas, leopards if lucky enough you might find all of them hunting. Expect to see different mammals like warthogs, water-bucks, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, elephants to list the few. The game drive take 2-3 hours as you enjoy the beautiful scenery, return to the lodge, have later breakfast, shower and pack your belongings and check-out of the lodge.
You will have lunch stopover at Agip Motel in Mbarara town and proceed with the journey with another stopover at the Uganda Equator. Take some photos at the equator for memories, have some refreshment and continue with journey to Kampala. Our company guide shall drop you to your hotel or Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
