Overview

The amazing 2 days trip takes you to Uganda’s largest and oldest park, Murchison Falls. The park spans an area of about 3840 km2 and is situated in North West. Besides, its mighty waterfall, the park is also a hearthstone to a variety of wildlife species including big fives like lions, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, leopards alongside others like antelopes, warthogs and bird species like rare shoe bill. This will give you the utmost joy through activities like boat cruises, game drives among others. The trip will begin and end in Kampala city.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison, evening boat cruise

Depending on your advised location in Kampala, you will meet with our driver guide and then brief you about the tour to get the best out of it.  Set off the engine for a 4-5 hours drive to Murchison falls national park via Masindi with scenic views of the evergreen lush vegetation. Before you check in at the lodge, drive to the top of the falls to take a glimpse of the never fading rainbow created by the fall’s mist and the thunderous roar of the falls as it plunges downstream.

Drive back to the lodge for lunch and later prepare for the major highlight of a boat cruise on River Nile. Expect to see crocodiles, hippos taking their dips in the water, birds on the river banks among others and take pictures. Transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala.

After an early morning bite, enjoy a morning game drive through the park’s savannahs close to Lake Albert. Expect to see lions, herds of elephants, giraffes and a variety of water birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for a transfer back to Kampala after crossing the Nile by ferry. End of the Safari.
