Baker’s Lodge , Murchison Falls National Park

Baker’s Lodge, which is a part of Uganda Exclusive Camps and Lodges, is located on the south bank of the Nile, in the center of Murchison Falls National Park.

Baker’s Lodge makes the most of its breathtaking location, which includes expansive views of the river up and down as well as a specially cleared grassland area amidst the lush surrounding bush.

The main focal point of the communal areas is a large thatched lounge that includes a dining area, full bar, and expansive wooden deck where guests can enjoy meals or leisurely sundowners. The deck is surrounded by large trees that provide shade, adding to the feeling of immersion.

Additionally, there is a swimming pool and Wi-Fi, although not very fast at times. Superbly cozy, these communal spaces provide a chance for individual contemplation or gatherings based on preferences, all while minimizing environmental effects and showcasing a passion for regional materials and methods.

Lodge Activities

There are bush breakfasts and dinners available, as well as deck dining under the stars, and the food is fantastic. There are multiple courses served, a wide array of options on the menu, and a good assortment of wines to go with the food.

The Cottages

There are eight thatched cottages in Baker’s Lodge. From its verandas, each offers a great view of the river both up and downstream, as well as plenty of chances to watch wildlife, including hippos and a variety of birds. Every cottage has a light, cozy, and quite comfortable interior with dark wood furnishings and native rugs that highlight handcrafted items from neighboring towns. Most of the time, beds can be twin or double, depending on the needs.

Every cottage features a private bathroom with a flush toilet and hot shower that runs on solar power. Some even have baths with views. The raised cottages are the best option, if they are available.
