Raising awareness of mountain gorillas was the visit’s main goal. There are 600 mountain gorillas in Uganda out of the total 900 in the globe. Before conservation began to help, including the various organizations that reach out to help, mountain gorillas were an instinct.

The last several months have seen a baby boom in Bakwate’s family, indicating that conservation efforts are halting the mountain gorilla population’s decline.
