The Boma Guesthouse in Entebbe
A pleasant, well-run, and cozy hotel, The Boma Guesthouse is conveniently located five minutes from the airport and has consistently received excellent reviews.
The Boma, a stone and tile structure with 15 sleeping rooms, is situated in mature gardens and is strikingly similar to the straightforward neo-colonial architecture that characterized much of East Africa in the late 20th century.
The main house has several sitting rooms, a restaurant, lounge, bar, pool, gift store, and a major veranda. It is distinguished by polished floors, a pastel color scheme, exposed beams, and veranda walks. You won’t be surprised to hear that the guesthouse’s clientele, a well-curated blend of corporate and tourism, provides for an interesting mix of visitors given its location.
The Great Service and food
The food is excellent, the service is superb, and the selection is extensive, with options from Europe, Asia, and Uganda. All in all, it was a lovely shared experience.
The beautiful Rooms
The bedrooms in Boma are equally excellent. Despite their rather simple appearance, they are well-maintained and cozy. Although the rooms differ in size, most of them have a seating space, a private veranda, an en suite bathroom, a four-poster or twin double bed, and standard amenities. For smaller groups, there are triple rooms and family rooms with cots. Free WiFi is available, and it’s really fast.
The Activities
Activities at The Boma are mainly restricted to the guesthouse itself, including swimming, bird viewing, and strolling the grounds. It serves as both an arrival and departure point. Trips into and around the town are among the other activities. These consist of the municipal golf course, Aero Beach, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Botanical Gardens, and Entebbe Zoo.
