The 3-Day Experience of Gorilla Habituation

One of the best safaris that we offer is the 3-day Gorilla Habituation Experience. This trip is ideal for those who wish to spend more time with the mountain gorillas, who are our closest relatives, and learn more from researchers and rangers.

Be mindful of the following:
One would not want to miss a chance to witness mountain gorillas in their natural habitat in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park because of their stunning beauty, soulful brown eyes, and remarkably human-like emotions and behaviors. Hiking with these gentle apes for four hours is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Spend more time with the critically endangered mountain gorillas on our Uganda Gorilla Habituation excursion. We may customize this tour to meet your unique demands and arrange it in three different price ranges: budget, mid-range, and luxury. Our staff will always make sure that everything goes according to plan, including food, hotels, transportation, and gorilla permits.

Comprehensive Schedule

Day 1: On the first day of your Uganda gorilla acclimatization trip, depart from Entebbe or Kampala.

Traveling to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwest Uganda takes approximately nine to ten hours. Although the drive is lengthy, it is worthwhile because you will get to see Bwindi’s rural scenery and some of the most breathtaking natural images. In order for you to record those precious moments on camera, our driver will pull over anytime you ask him to.

Before continuing to Mbarara town for lunch, you will pause en route at the Equator crossing for pictures and simple experiments with a thought-provoking conversation. You will enjoy a delightful journey to Bwindi National Park via Kabale after lunch, arriving at your lodge in the evening.

Rushaga Gorilla Camp or Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge provide lodging.
Lunch and Dinner Meals
Travel time: roughly eight to nine hours

Day 2: Trekking for gorilla acclimation

Following an early breakfast, you’ll proceed to the park headquarters to register and meet up with others for a briefing on gorilla habituation trekking, which will cover the dos and don’ts of your four-hour tour with gorillas in Uganda. After that, it could take you anything from thirty minutes to three-quarters of the day to discover the gorillas as you travel through thick vegetation and creepers with your ranger escorts.

The densely forested area is rather thick, yet there are many animal trails that intersect it, providing access for humans. Throughout your journey, you may see more monkeys, birds, and odd tree species. Remember that the four hours start when you find new mountain gorilla pathways, and that after your hike you will have a debriefing back at Park headquarters.

It feels amazing to be among these stunning, endangered creatures. As a thank you for participating in gorilla habituation hike and supporting the protection of mountain gorillas, you will receive a certificate.

You can either drive back to Kampala or Entebbe for your post-tour accommodation after breakfast, or you can decide to leave Uganda by air this morning.
