Ngorongoro Will Bring fame To Other Local Sites
According to the Ngorongoro conservation area administration, it’s about time that some emphasis is paid to the area’s other features and attractions.
The Olduvai Gorge, the stunning Empakai Crater, and the Laetoli Archeological Sites are just a few of the locations that the NCCA is eager to promote and publicize.
While the Ngorongoro crater and conservation area are the main destinations for Tanzania safaris, Ngorongoro is also home to a wealth of amazing natural features that enhance the Tanzania safari experience.
Situated close to the Ngorongoro Crater is Olduvai Gorge. With over 500,000 visitors annually, the Ngorongoro crater—which resembles an amphitheater in certain ways—remains the most popular tourist destination in the region, even with the promotion of all the other characteristics.
Due to this, there has been an increase in vehicle traffic in recent years, which has become a serious issue for the NCCA as well as for tourists hoping to see the crater’s plentiful wildlife.
Recently, a number of visitors expressed dissatisfaction over the vehicle traffic, claiming that it was interfering with their safari experiences by blocking their views of the wild animals.
The head conservator of NCCA, Dr. Manongi, stated that every effort is being made to find a means to lessen the quantity of cars that are descending into the crater. The installation of hot air balloons to transport visitors through and above the conservation area is one potential answer to this issue. NCCA has been presented with proposals to that end. The peak season, when there are more cars than normal, is when the myriad car issues are at their worst.
In addition to adding diversity to the area, marketing and promoting other places will divert some of the traffic from the Ngorongoro crater as visitors explore the other attractions in the area. This will result in other viewing experiences. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is very well-liked by travelers that come to Tanzania for wildlife safari excursions or Africa safari vacations.
One of the few things preventing NCCA from reaching its 2014 goal of Shs. 60 billion from tourism alone is the car traffic issue.
