Overview
Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to over 100 species of mammals and over 606 species of birds. Some of the mammals found in Queen Elizabeth National Park include the famous tree-climbing lions, large schools of hippos, large forest hogs, elephants, Uganda kobs, and buffaloes, which are found on the magnificent Mweya Peninsula.
The famous tree-climbing lions are found in the isolated Ishasha sector. Queen Elizabeth National Park has got chimpanzees, which are habituated in the Kyambura Gorges area, and the Maramagambo Forest, which is home to monkeys and birds. This national park has beautiful pink flamingos, which are found around the crater lakes.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our company driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel or Entebbe International Airport for transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for the 3-day Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari. You will make a first stopover at the Uganda Equator, where you will have some refreshments and take photographs.
Proceed to Mbarara town, where you will have lunch at Agip Motel, and then later continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a beautiful view of rolling hills, breathtaking scenery, tea plantations, long-horned Ankole cattle, and the Rift Valley Escarpment.
Upon arrival at the park, clear with the park office and have an en-route game drive as you are heading to the lodge where you check in. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise
Wake up at 6:00am and head for a morning game drive in search of early hunters before they head back to their hideouts. Driving to Kasenyi Trail, where you have a beautiful view of elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and waterbucks, among others. Expect to see different bird species. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and an early lunch.
After lunch, proceed for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will encounter different mammals and bird species like buffaloes, elephants, hippos, kobs, and warthogs, to list but a few. Have another en-route game drive as you drive to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure
Have morning breakfast and check out of the lodge as you have another drive in the Ishasha sector to see tree-climbing lions. After, proceed with the journey to Igongo Cultural Village, where you will see different cultural things. Have lunch en route at any tourist eating point.
