Overview
This 2-day safari takes you to one of the famous national parks in Uganda, well known for its tree-climbing lions. Queen Elizabeth National Park is located south of the Rwenzori Mountains, and the park covers an area of about 1,978 km² of land. The park is blessed with two lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward, which are connected to the Kazinga Channel.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our company guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park very early in the morning. You have to be time conscious because the 2-day Queen Elizabeth National Park safari
Drive through evergreen savannah vegetation and take a journey of about 283 km to Mbarara town, where you will have lunch at any local restaurant. Proceed with journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park; upon arrival at the park, clear with UWA game rangers and then drive to the lodge and check in.
Head for the 2pm boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel, where you will have an opportunity to view different mammals and bird species like schools of hippos, crocodiles, Uganda kobs, and elephants, to mention a few, and then birds like cormorants, fish eagles, pelicans, skimmers, kingfishers, ibis, plovers, and bee-eaters, among others.
After the beautiful boat cruise, return to the lodge with a mini game drive as you wait for tomorrow’s game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive and Departure
Arise up very early in the morning by 6:00am and head for a morning game drive in search of the early hunters like lions, hyenas, and leopards. If you are lucky enough, you might find all of them hunting. Expect to see different mammals like warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and elephants, to list a few.
The game drive takes 2-3 hours as you enjoy the beautiful scenery, return to the lodge, have a late breakfast, shower, pack your belongings, and check out of the lodge.
You will have a lunch stopover at Agip Motel in Mbarara town and proceed with the journey with another stopover at the Uganda Equator.
Take some photos at the equator for memories, have some refreshment, and continue with the journey to Kampala. Our company guide shall drop you at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home, ending our 2 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari
