The 10 days Uganda safari, will take you to four [4] major national parks in Uganda. Murchison falls national park sits on the shores of Lake Albert and found in the northwest Uganda. The park is famous for its Murchison falls which are known as the world’s most powerful falls and the park was established as a national park in 1952, covering an area of 3893 square kilometer making Murchison falls national park the largest national park in Uganda.

Kibale forest national park is located in western Uganda and the park was established in 1993 and it covers an area of 766 square kilometers. Kibale forest national park is protecting the moist evergreen rain forest in Africa and it’s a home to the largest population of the primates in Africa.

Queen Elizabeth national park is located in western Uganda and it’s one of the most popular tourist’s destination in Uganda as well as East Africa. The park was established in 1952 as kazinga national park and after two years changed to Queen Elizabeth national park after the visit of the Queen Elizabeth II.

The park covers an area of 1978 square kilometres, with variety of flora and fauna, its habitat to over 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species.

Bwindi impenetrable national park is located in south-western Uganda in Kanungu district. The park covers an area of 331 square kilometres and was established as a national park in 1991. The park was named impenetrable because it was hard for anyone to penetrate through the thick rain forest.

Bwindi impenetrable national park habours the remaining endangered mountain gorillas, monkeys and number of bird species is registered.

Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – The Gateway to Adventure

Your 10 Days Uganda Safari begins the moment you step off the plane at Entebbe International Airport. Nestled on the shores of Lake Victoria, Entebbe is a tranquil town that serves as the perfect antidote to jet lag. Upon arrival, a representative from Chosen Expeditions will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, you will relax and enjoy a great introduction to the country’s fauna, or simply relax at your lakeside accommodation .

Day 2: Entebbe to Murchison Falls – Rhino Tracking en Route

After an early breakfast, you will depart Kampala/Entebbe and head northwest to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey is a safari in itself. You will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking safari. Here, you come face-to-face with the only wild rhinos in Uganda, a truly remarkable conservation success story .

Tracking these gentle giants on foot with an armed ranger is an adrenaline-pumping start to your adventure.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Game Drives and The Nile

Rise before dawn for a morning game drive across the northern bank’s savannah grasslands. This area is teeming with wildlife; keep your eyes peeled for Rothschild giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and the elusive leopard .

In the afternoon, you will embark on a spectacular boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. This two-hour journey takes you to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls, where the world’s longest river is violently squeezed through a 7-meter gorge . The banks are lined with hippos, crocodiles, and elephants coming to drink.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale

After a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, you will enter the tropical rainforest to track a community of habituated chimpanzees. Trekking through Kibale is magical; the forest echoes with the hoots of chimps and the calls of rare birds.

You will spend one unforgettable hour watching these playful primates swing through the trees . In the afternoon, consider a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, renowned for its rich birdlife and butterflies .

Day 6: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth – The Game Track

Day 8: The Ishasha Sector – Tree-Climbing Lions

Today you transfer south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, but not before a game drive through the Ishasha sector. Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – The Ultimate Encounter

This is the day you have been waiting for. After an early breakfast and briefing, you will set off into the impenetrable forest to find a family of mountain gorillas. This is one of the most profound wildlife experiences on earth. The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas nested the night before.
